Amanda Gear

Amanda is a mixed media artist who is inspired by nature in her everyday world.

She enjoys travel and creates botanical and modern art based on her environment. Creating art from live plants gives insight into the intricate structure of native plants.

Amanda has undertaken workshops to gain insight into pushing the boundaries of the uses of graphite, coloured pencils, water colours, soft pastel, lino cut, acrylic and oil mediums.

Amanda has exhibited and sold her work in joint exhibitions at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Queanbeyan Art Society and the Nature Art Lab, Canberra.

Amanda’s paintings are in private collections in New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, South Australia, Spain and Portugal.
