The theme of this year’s exhibition is the celebration of Australia’s unique and diverse flora. We will accept paintings of plants indigenous to Australia but natural hybrids will be considered . Any painting medium is acceptable as the exhibition in 2019 will be arranged into two categories – paintings of traditional botanical art and artworks of a more contemporary nature. In this regard, art pieces that utilise non-traditional media (for instance, textiles or canvas) will be considered for exhibition. To have your painting/s selected for Beechworth Botanica, in either of these categories, your work must be original, botanically accurate and an artistic representation of its subject.
